How to Make Chicken Shashlik at Home

Shashlik, which translates to "skewered meat," is similar to a shish kebab and is a favorite food in South and Central Asia. Although traditionally cooked with slices of lamb, chicken kebabs have gained popularity. With the addition of soy, the marinade has a subtle Chinese influence. It's crucial to strike a balance between this recipe's sweet, sour, salty, and spicy components.

Nowadays Shashlik is also made with chicken, beef, or pork. Skewers are threaded with alternating pieces of meat and vegetables. It is then grilled on a tandoor or cooked in a pan.

The cooking style of Chicken Tikka and Chicken Shashlik is quite similar but there is a difference in flavors. For male chicken, tikka chicken is marinated with yogurt, oil, and spices. Sauces are not used in chicken tikka, but the marinade of shashlik consists of either tomato paste or tomato sauce.
